Lindsay Clift
Lindsay Clift is a London based comedy writer from Texas who is white trash and bougie. Born to an artist mother who was kidnapped as a child and a carpenter father who ran from the law when she was four, Lindsay was ultimately raised by her mother and wealthy stepdad creating a complicated relationship with money and family. She writes dramedies about generational traumas manifesting in bizarre ways.
Her screenplay Roadkill about a woman who believes she is dead was a Nicholl Quarter-finalist and Arcadian Kids, a screenplay about a teen girl coming to grips with her death in a school shooting, was Austin Film Festival Semi-finalist for screenwriting. The first two short films Lindsay wrote and directed won numerous awards at festivals. She just produced her first feature film with writer/director Avan Hardwell.
Lindsay has fallen into other careers throughout her life. She ran a modeling and acting school at 19 earning three figures. In New Orleans, she worked in Real Estate, as a Ghost Hunter/Tour Guide at a Haunted Mortuary and as a teacher.
